Scotland - "Ca' the Yowes"

Here comes the entry from Scotland. A change in direction this year, with one girl singer, and the rest of the class supporting on guitars.
The song is a very old love song, written by the famous Scots poet, Robert Burns.
Hope you like it...

Congratulations, this is a very good song !! I like the music, but above all, I love the voice of your singer !! Did all your pupils have to learn to play the guitar?
Good luck for the votes !

Oh, how so peaceful
doth this music strike mine ears
after warlike entries of the past
that echoed from the Scottish lands!

Behold thy breath
and let this chanting's euphony
overwhelm thee
and thine heart!

For never shall you hear
a nightingale sing
lovelier
than this.

I like this song very much! It is intimate and tender and the girl in the video really knows how to sing it in the most beautiful way! She really gave an exellent performance and she sure can sing very well!

And congratulations to the guitar players too! They too did a very nice job!

Good luck on the voting!

Kind regards,

Dave

A lovely ballad!Very sweet voice!
As to the guitars, I must admit, I'm very subjective in this case, because it's my favourite instrument, so, for me, it's a 100 per cent to the point:)
All the best,

This is just beautiful. Better than some of the folk music I was listening to on my long journey home. Did I recognise two of the pupils Michael?:)
